Tony Abreu
Chartered FCSI - Investment Manager

Tony joined Butterfield Bank (Guernsey) Limited as part of the acquisition of ABN AMRO (Channel Islands) Limited. He has over 25 years of experience in Stockbroking and Investment Management. Tony started his career in 1991 with stockbroker Barclays de Zoete Wedd (BZW). Following the purchase of BZW by Credit Suisse First Boston in 1998, Tony gained promotion to Vice President of CSFB (Guernsey) and subsequently joined SG Hambros Securities in 1999 as an Investment Manager.

Following a 4 year period of trading the financial markets for himself, Tony re-joined SG Hambros in 2004. As a Senior Investment Manager, he advised on various asset class committees and managed bespoke and discretionary portfolios across a diverse range of mandates. In 2009 he was given responsibility to establish the SG Hambros Managed Advisory service in the Channel Islands.

Tony is a Chartered Member of the CISI and holds the Private Client Investment Advice & Management (PCIAM) and SFA Futures & Options qualifications along with a Statement of Professional Standing.















Mariana Kostadinova

Investment Manager

Mariana has a background in investment analysis and fund research. She joined Butterfield Bank (Guernsey) Limited as part of the acquisition of ABN AMRO (Channel Islands) Limited. Prior to this Mariana worked for IAM Advisory in Guernsey where she spent 5 years structuring and monitoring substantial investment portfolios for institutional and HNW clients.

Previously, Mariana worked as an accounts assistant whilst getting her first experience in the financial services sector with an award winning algorithmic trading Hedge Fund in the City of London. Following her move to Guernsey, she initially worked as a fund accounting analyst and as a fund administrator.

Mariana holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria, and a Master’s degree in International Finance from Westminster University, London. She obtained the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) in 2014 and has passed Level 1 of the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Program. She is a Chartered member (MCSI) of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).











Emma Alford

Chartered FCSI - Investment Manager

Emma began her career in investments as a Research Assistant at Bailey Coates Asset Management in London. On her return to Guernsey in June 2005, Emma joined Societe Generale Private Bank where she worked as a Funds Analyst, covering UK funds for a time and then managing a small team with a focus on Emerging Markets and Asia funds. After 9 years analysing funds Emma joined Asset Risk Consultants, an investment consultancy firm, where she held the position of Senior Investment Analyst for three years working on private client portfolios.

Emma obtained the CISI Diploma in 2010, passing papers in Investment Management, Private Client Investment Advice and Management, and Financial Markets. Emma is a Chartered Fellow of the CISI. Emma also holds the Investment Management Certificate.
